Save Those Returnables for CVOA
A hundred bottles of beer in the ---- recycling bin.
Actually, the numbers are more in the thousands!
Since CVOA started its bottle redemption campaign last year, our members have contributed more than 5,000 bottles to the cause.
By February, 2008, the effort had raised $135.95 for our outdoor club. We've more than doubled that tally now.
CVOA Treasurer Sherie Packard reports that members donated 2,695 5-cent-sized beer, soda and water bottles and cans and 169 15-cent size wine, liquor and soda bottles. The effort dumped another $160.15 into the CVOA coffers.
Total to date: $296.10.
You can help: Just bring your returnable bottles and cans to the
CVOA always collects empty bottles and cans at our socials and other outings and brings them to Kingfield for refunds. Individual CVOA members have started doing the same.
So, join us: The nickels add up and it's for a good cause.
