CVOA Shooting Range

Currently, the range is closed for the winter to non-members.  Shooting RangeMembers, however, may continue to use the rifle, pistol and archery ranges. Trap Shooting (for members and non-members), will commence in Mid May, Early June for the 2012 Season. (weather permitting)

The Trap Range

Nearly from the beginning, we have offered Trap Shooting.  But as with everything, it has been improved.  If you haven't been to the Trap Range in a few years, you need to come back and visit!

Pistol RangeThe Covered Pistol Range

Often used for the CCW (Concealed Weapon) Training Class sponsored by CVOA and training done Carrabassett Valley Police Chief, Scott Nichols, is also available for target shooting. The Pistol Range was improved by Eagle Scout, Christian Beauregard, CVA graduate and now West Point Cadet.

Expanded and improved, Matt Beauregard as a qualification for his Eagle Scout, 4 new shooting stations and covered range built this range with the oversight of the CVOA Range Committee.


The Archery Range  Ian Wilson, CVA and Eagle Scout

New edition in 2011 to the Shooting Range facilities.  Ian Wilson, (CVA) was responsible for the construction of the Archery Range as part of his Eagle Scout project.


In 2012, we plan to offer more youth activities, more women's events and other family friendly activities.

Membership to CVOA is $10 per individual, $15 per family.

For anyone that wishes to become a Range Member, it is $15 for each individual (in addition to the CVOA membership fee), this helps in defraying the cost for insurance for the range.
