THE BALSAMS: A BLAST!!!

By Linda Trueworthy
Blue skies and spring weather recently greeted a half dozen CVOAers to the Balsams for a few days of skiing and R&R at "The Notch".
Paul and Linda Trueworthy, Rick Chenard and Janet Hammon and Claire and Richard Komullainen enjoyed two days of skiing on their famous powder and corduroy.
Dinners featured their famous gourmet 5-course meals - which didn't disappoint.

The group arrived on Sunday, tossed their gear and buckled up their boots. Day 2 was spent skiing as well.
After coming off
the slopes some of us went on a kitchen tour. This was a fascinating
first-hand look at how they prepare their meals - and a chance to meet
the chefs.
One CVOA member travelled over to Jay Peak to sample the skiing there.
Monday night featured the Balsam's famous cocktail party - open
bar, hot & cold appetizers and a 3-piece combo. Then it was into
the dining room for another delightful evening of fine dining.
A delightful Balsams getaway was enjoyed by all.
