BOOK QUICK!!
Two of our big weekend getaways in 2012 are already booked .. or filling up fast.
* It looks like we might already have a full house for our September weekend at Nahmakanka camps in the heart of the 100-mile wilderness.
There may be opportunities to bunk in with others and we are starting a waiting list. So, if you're interested, let s know ASAP (nperry24420@roadrunner.com or ltruew@yahoo.com).
* And, we've already had a high demand for our return weekend Downeast in Lubec and Campobello July 6-8. If you're interested in joining us for that, contact Nancy or Linda ASAP.

Thanks to our volunteers!!!!
We asked for help. You responded.
And we are thrilled .. and thankful!
CVOA is always trying to cram a wide array of outdoor adventures into our calendars .. opportunities for our members to ski, hike, bike, canoe, camp, fish and explore all the wonderful places we go each year.
But those outings take work. Lots of work .. planning, organizing, housing, feeding, energizing.
We've been lucky: The club has attracted a solid group of dedicated folks generous enough with their time and talent to make this work.
This year, we reached out and asked other members to get involved. And they did:
* Sandy Osterreider and Elise Gephardt have volunteered to head up this year's full moon snowshoe and cross country ski trek at the touring center Feb. 11. The evening features nordic skiing and snowshoeing along the moonlit trails to a warming hut for snacks and drinks, steaming pots of stew and awesome desserts back at the lodge, a bonfire and skating.
