CVOA volunteers tackled the Narrow Gauge Pathway, clearing out the blowdown and other debris that accumulates during a typical Carrabassett winter.
Town officials had asked for volunteer help getting the popular hiking, biking, snowshoe and crosscountry ski trail in shape for the summer. Neal Trask, coordinator and past CVOA president, had no trouble assembling a trail crew.
Participating were Neal, chain saw master Tom Spring, CVOA members Bob and Barbara Briggs and Jan and Vince Kremin. Carrabassett Town Manager Dave Cota and Recreation Deb Bowker joined in the cleanup.
"A great job by all," said Neal.
